Position Overview:

We are seeking someone who can seamlessly integrate security practices into our development and operations processes. The ideal candidates will have a background in security engineering, a solid understanding of DevOps tools and concepts, and thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment. If you’re passionate about security, eager to learn and grow, and excited about helping others along their journey, this role is for you.

What will your job be like?

  • Ensure Security and Availability: Play a critical role in ensuring the security and availability of our systems and applications.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to design and implement secure development practices.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain security automation tools to streamline security practices.
  • Security Assessments: Conduct security assessments and provide recommendations to enhance the overall security posture.
  • Vulnerability Management: Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities to address potential security risks.
  • Project Leadership: Lead projects related to secure software development, infrastructure security, and incident response.
  • System Crafting: Craft and document systems, write and review code, automate problems within your team’s domain, and contribute to improving the team’s CI/CD processes.
  • Incident Support: Participate in Tier-1 production support for internal systems in the event of an incident.

Are we a match?

  • Cloud Proficiency: You are comfortable working in Cloud environments, with a preference for expertise in AWS.
  • UNIX Mastery: You have a strong knowledge of UNIX fundamentals and a solid understanding of networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, HTTP, WS, and TLS.
  • Security Expertise: You demonstrate a deep understanding of secure software development practices and principles.
  • Scripting Skills: You are proficient in writing your own tools and scripts, such as expertise in Bash, Python, and TypeScript.
  • DevOps Competence: You have experience with DevOps tooling, including CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-code, preferably with Terraform.
  • Security Toolbox: Your experience extends to security tools, such as vulnerability scanners, static code analysis tools, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Monitoring and Logging: You have practical experience with logging and monitoring systems.
  • Adaptability: You thrive in a dynamic environment and can gracefully react to high-priority requirements with little or no notice, providing clear documentation and follow-through.
  • Reliable and Trustworthy: You are known for your excellent reliability, dependability, and trustworthiness.
  • Effective Communication: Your strong communication skills enable seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Salary Range for Employees Based in Slovakia*: €2400 – 6500
* salary will be adjusted based on seniority and location
